The Presidential Filipinnovation Awards honor world-class
Filipino innovations that transform industries, uplift communities,
and drive national development.
Established under Executive Order No. 99, s. 2025, the Presidential Filipinnovation Awards is an annual competition that aims to recognize enterprises and individuals with innovative products or services that are Filipino-owned and -registered, and currently at early-stage commercialization.
Anchored on the Philippine Innovation Act, the Philippine Development Plan 2023–2028, and the National Innovation Agenda and Strategy Document 2023–2032, the PFA serves as one of the government’s flagship programs for building a dynamic innovation ecosystem that fosters collaboration, creativity, and the growth of homegrown technologies.
The inaugural Presidential Filipinnovation Awards brought together the country’s most promising innovators—each presenting solutions grounded in real-world needs and driven by the ambition to scale.
From regional stages to the national spotlight, these pitches marked a defining moment for Philippine innovation.
The PFA is intentionally structured to promote broad participation and equal opportunity across regions and sectors.
Innovators compete through Sub-National Competitions in NCR, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, allowing locally relevant solutions to emerge and be assessed within their respective innovation ecosystems. From these regional stages, the most promising innovations advance to the National Competition.
The National Competition represents the culmination of the Awards cycle. Finalists present their innovations before a National Board of Judges, where entries are evaluated based on novelty, impact, and readiness to scale.
From among the finalists, five exceptional innovators are conferred the Presidential Filipinnovation Award by the President of the Philippines, or the Executive Secretary, by Authority of the President.
Beyond recognition, the Awards serve as a platform for social mobilization, partnership-building, and innovation promotion—connecting innovators with government agencies, industry leaders, and potential investors.
The Presidential Filipinnovation Awards follows a structured process designed to ensure fairness, rigor, and broad participation across regions. Each step builds toward the national competition where the country’s most promising innovations are elevated and recognized.
